Our men's group has been established for many years. We have a variety of ages in
this group. It has been said that you can't become a full-fledged "Grumpy Old Man" until you reach 70 years old but you can start your training at any age. They meet ever second Saturday
at a local restaurant for breakfast and discuss how they can help others through their various
missions. All men are welcome to come and join in the fun that we have together in Christian friendship. Here are some pictures of our Chili Cook-off, one of our annual events.

Our women's group is composed of a variety of ages of adult women. They are active in all aspects of our church life. They sponsor an annual yard sale, cookouts, lots of meals, missions
and just about everything that goes on in and around our church. They meet monthly and would welcome any inquirers into membership. Attached are just a few pictures of the many
things that they do.

Forest United Methodist Church has partnered with Parkview Missions in Lynchburg, Virginia to provide food for needy families in the counties surrounding our church. We go to the inner city of Lynchburg to serve meals to those in need at the Parkview Mission. We also pick up food each second Saturday of the month from Parkview Missions and bring it to Forest UMC to pass out to those in need in our community. Forest UMC also has its own food pantry to meet any emergency needs. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, or if you are in need of food, contact us and set up an appointment.
